Brilliant Home Plug-in Control

The plug-in Brilliant control is easy to install in 5 simple steps: 

1. Select a place to install your control
2. Install your power cable to your baseplate
3. Mount your baseplate to your wall
4. Plug in your power cable to the provided power adaptor
5. Install your faceplate

Additional notes

• You must have a 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi network available for setup
  
• Requires a plug within 13 feet of where the control is mounted.
  
• Power cable can run along the wall or inside the wall.

The Brilliant Plug-In Control, by default will control the following:

Left Slider will control the device’s system volume
Right Slider will control the device screen brightness

If you have compatible smart home devices in your home, you can change your slider settings to control lights and other devices
Examples include: Turning on/off/dimming your Phillips Hue lights and adjusting the volume of your Sonos speaker

The Brilliant Plug-In Control requires a 110V power outlet within 13 feet of where the the control will be mounted. A ground and neutral wire are not required for installation of the Plug-In Control.

The Plug-In Control, functionally, acts similar to a Wired Control. You can connect your smart devices, turn them on/off/dim, create smart scenes with your devices, adjust the volume of your sonos speakers, and more!

No, the Plug-In Control can act as the primary smart home control panel to connect all your smart devices. If you would like to directly wire your fixtures to your Brilliant Control, you can also purchase the Brilliant Wired Control

Yes the Brilliant Plug-In Control is able to be your primary home control and can work with your Brilliant Smart Dimmer Switches to create your Brilliant smart home ecosystem.

We support a wide variety of smart home products, and are always adding new partners. Our primary connection method is to use Wi-Fi for partner products like Sonos, Ring, Google Nest, Ecobee, Honeywell, Philips Hue, Wemo lights, August Lock, and smart plugs, and more. If you would like to connect to smart locks like Schlage, or already have Z-Wave or Zigbee products, we also support hubs from SmartThings so you can control them from a Brilliant. Amazon Alexa is already built in, so you just need to connect to your Amazon account. You can also use both Google Assistant/Google Home and Apple HomeKit devices to voice control the lights. All you need is one Brilliant Control to get started, but most people like having Brilliant in rooms where they spend the most time, like the living room, kitchen and bedrooms. On average, most Brilliant users install anywhere from 3-5 Brilliant Controls. The more Brilliant Controls you install, the better the experience is. Installing two or more will also let you enjoy the room-to-room intercom feature. It's always easy to add more Brilliant Controls to your home.

We designed Brilliant so that everyone (family and guests in particular) can quickly understand how it works with no training. Once you install Brilliant, you can swipe your finger up/down on the screen to turn on/off lights. For Brilliant Controls made to replace 2-4 switches, move your fingers up and down on the touch sliders. Adjusting the Sonos volume or music track that you are listening to has never been easier.
