You need a Johnson Controls IQ Panel 5 monitored on Alarm.com, and one or more Brilliant Controls on the same home network. Earlier IQ panels are not supported.
- On your Brilliant Control, go to Settings
- Select Works With
- Tap Johnson Controls
- Your Control looks for IQ5 panels on your network
- Enter your panel's serial numberFound on the back of the panel or under Settings>Advanced Settings>About>Hardware>System Serial Number.
- Enter the one-time code from the panelFound in the panel under Settings>Advanced Settings>Installation>Devices>WiFi Devices>3rd Party Devices>Get OTP
- Tap the Pair button on the IQ Panel
- The panel should then be discovered by Brilliant and added to the home.
- Once connected, add the panel to a room in your home
Disarming from a Brilliant Control requires the PIN you use on your security panel. Arming Home and Arming Away do not require a PIN.
Not at this time. Brilliant shows your overall system status (Armed Home, Armed Away, Disarmed or Offline) and lets you arm and disarm. Cameras, sensor-by-sensor status, and alarm notifications remain in the Alarm.com app.
No. Alarm.com continues to handle your monitoring and any automations you have set up there. Brilliant adds in-wall control throughout the home, so you can arm at night from the bedroom or disarm in the morning from the kitchen. You can keep using both.
No. Arming, disarming, status and scene actions work without a subscription. Away and Vacation Modes, which can arm your system automatically, require Brilliant Max.
